About The Position

MedElite is seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Neuro Technician to support neurological diagnostic testing and clinical services for patients in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities. The role involves working closely with clinicians to support accurate diagnoses and improve neurological outcomes for a geriatric population. The position is based in Connecticut, with a schedule of 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and travel to partner facilities as assigned. Employment type is 1099.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow clinical protocols.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Comfort working with the geriatric population.
Ability to travel to multiple facilities as needed.
Physical ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods, assist with patient positioning, operate diagnostic equipment, and lift or move patients.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree or formal neurodiagnostic training.
Certification as an EEG or Neurodiagnostic Technician (R.EEG T., CNIM, or equivalent).
Prior experience in neurodiagnostic testing.
Experience working in skilled nursing or long-term care settings.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients for neurological diagnostic procedures, including EEGs and other neurodiagnostic tests.
Perform neurodiagnostic testing in accordance with established protocols and safety standards.
Monitor patients during procedures and report significant findings or concerns to the supervising clinician.
Set up, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot neurodiagnostic equipment.
Accurately document test results, observations, and patient responses in the medical record.
Maintain compliance with infection control, HIPAA, and facility policies.
Explain procedures clearly and reassure patients to promote comfort and cooperation.
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and nursing staff to support patient care.
Travel to partner skilled nursing and long-term care facilities as assigned.
