The Neuro Physical Therapy Resident will spend more than half of their time providing clinical services to patients across 3 outpatient therapy departments (Orthopedic Rehabilitation Center, Spine Center, Pain Center) with mentorship from designated MFB clinical staff. The resident will assume full responsibility for evaluating patient’s need for physical therapy, and will plan and execute individual treatment programs in accordance with the laws and regulations of the State of Michigan. Treatment skills will be developed through continuing education, mentoring meetings with physical therapy staff, physicians, and other clinicians. The remaining time will be spent completing programmatic assigned didactics, conducting a scientific inquiry project, and assisting with teaching responsibilities at Grand Valley State University as assigned per program requirements. The resident will present scientific inquiry project findings in Grand Rounds upon completion of the Residency Program.
