The Neuro Acute Telemetry & Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (6NNABC) is a 48-bed Neurosurgery/Neurological/Epilepsy Monitoring medical/surgical/telemetry unit within the Barrow Neurological Institute. This unit provides care for complex neurological and neurosurgical patients, including those with traumatic brain injuries, spinal injuries, brain tumors, spine surgeries, stroke, migraine, and epilepsy requiring in-patient evaluation. The team members are clinical experts in their field, benefiting from an extensive training program and opportunities to participate in unit quality and performance improvement teams.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Registered Nurse: AZ
  • Basic Life Support - CPR

Responsibilities

  • Provides comprehensive, safe, and effective, evidence-based nursing care to achieve desired health outcomes for the patient.
  • Organizes and prioritizes patient care activities balanced with the needs and comfort of the patient.
  • Demonstrates accountability for own ethical behavior, and supports ethical practice by addressing and/or escalating issues.
  • Serves as an advocate for patients needs by demonstrating holistic care practices.
  • Demonstrates the ability to recognize and adapt to changes in patients condition (i.e. Lab, vitals, signs and test values) in a timely and clinically appropriate manner.
