About The Position

This position involves providing and documenting patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), ensuring a safe, comfortable, and confidential environment for patients. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will act as a team member, working to ensure appropriate resources are available to all internal and external customers. Essential requirements for the role include the ability to speak and read English proficiently enough to perform job functions satisfactorily. The position also requires knowledge of standard office equipment such as calculators, fax machines, and photocopiers, as well as personal computer and software skills, including proficiency with MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, internet, and e-mail. Specific Windows computer skills, such as keyboarding, mouse usage for selecting items, using drop-down menus, scroll bars, opening folders, and copying, are required upon employment or within the first two weeks. The CNA is expected to perform other duties as assigned, adhere to Palomar Health's rules, policies, procedures, and applicable laws and standards, and uphold the mission, vision, and quality commitment of Palomar Health.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education: As required by certification and/or licensure
  • Minimum Experience: 0 - 6 months related
  • Required Certification: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
  • Required Certification: American Heart Association recognized BLS - Healthcare Provider

  • Preferred Experience: 1 year related

Responsibilities
