About The Position

We are seeking a Network Technician to join our team supporting US Air Force Air Mobility Command Base Infrastructure modernization. Requirements

  • 3 years of experience
  • Must have an active Secret clearance
  • Installation, staging, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of enterprise network equipment
  • Basic Cisco and/or Juniper switching and routing configuration
  • Copper/fiber patching, optics, labeling, rack installation, cable management, and port mapping
  • Ability to read network diagrams, floor plans, rack elevations, port maps, and implementation procedures
  • Basic IPv4/IPv6, VLAN, switching, routing, PoE, and connectivity troubleshooting
  • U.S. Citizen

Nice To Haves

  • DoD/Air Force BAN installation and Communications Squadron experience
  • Cisco, Juniper, HPE Aruba, HAIPE, NAC, or enterprise wireless deployment
  • BICSI installation credentials or fiber-testing experience
  • Data-center, MDF/IDF, CEF/CEL, and structured-cabling buildout
  • Mission-critical cutover experience with minimal operational disruption
  • Experience supporting Government acceptance and turnover
  • DoD 8140 IAT Level II (e.g., Security+ CE) plus applicable OEM or role-specific technical certification

Responsibilities

  • Installs, configures, tests, documents, and troubleshoots network equipment and supporting infrastructure during AMC BAN modernization.
  • Works from approved designs and method-of-procedure packages to rack, cable, label, power, configure, and validate switches, routers, wireless components, HAIPE devices, and network management connections while protecting mission operations.
  • Execution of maintenance-window tasks, validation checks, rollback steps, and closeout documentation.
  • Accurate asset/configuration documentation and disciplined change control.
  • Safe work practices in active communications and mission facilities.
