Network Technician II
About The Position
EMCO Technologies is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Support Analyst to provide on-site IT infrastructure support for the Beaumont Manufacturing Complex, including the Beaumont Polyethylene Plant. This role will support network, AV, and server infrastructure operations while partnering closely with remote support teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to maintain reliable site operations in a manufacturing environment. This position requires a strong customer-focused mindset, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced operational setting. Some after-hours support and participation in an on-call rotation will be required.
Requirements
- Experience supporting network infrastructure in an enterprise or manufacturing environment
- Strong troubleshooting skills related to network connectivity and physical infrastructure
- Project coordination or project management experience
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong customer service orientation and work ethic
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with technical teams and vendors
Nice To Haves
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Familiarity with ServiceNow
- Experience supporting AV technologies or Zoom Rooms
- Experience with server/storage infrastructure support
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot network-related issues and provide hands-on support for remote L2+ analysts
- Support new network infrastructure deployments including: Base configuration, Physical installation, Copper and fiber cabling
- Coordinate and support cable vendors during installations and troubleshooting activities
- Assist with troubleshooting copper and fiber infrastructure issues
- Support wired, wireless, LAN, and WAN technologies
- Partner with business customers to plan and execute infrastructure-related projects
- Coordinate with project teams supporting: Desktop rollouts, New building construction, Hardware refresh/end-of-life replacement projects, Printer-related initiatives
- Assist with planning, change management, and project stewardship activities
- Support setup and configuration of Zoom room infrastructure
- Coordinate AV vendors during installations and upgrades
- Partner with AV engineering teams for room evaluations and design support
- Provide hands-on support for server and storage environments
- Escort vendors for installations and break/fix activities
- Perform minor hardware replacements (e.g., hard drives, field replaceable units)
- Rack, cable, and support server infrastructure equipment
