About The Position

This is a 1-year contract position for a Network & Systems Security Analyst at a Utilities Company in Tampa, FL. The role requires a strong understanding of network and systems security, with responsibilities including planning, designing, and implementing infrastructure, troubleshooting, and configuring hardware and software to meet security standards.

Requirements

• 6 years of related hands-on experience implementing and maintaining Windows servers, VMware, firewall support, Storage Area Networks, Cisco Networking or SolarWinds ITSM (IT Service Management) product experience.
• Administrator-level experience in SolarWinds, including configuration, management, and system-level support.
• Has obtained at least one associate and one senior level certification: (i.e. Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), GIAC Certifications, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)).
• Work Authorization: USC or GC ONLY

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or equivalent IT discipline (MIS).
• Certifications Preferred: CCNA, VCP, CISSP, or MCSA

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and implement network, server, and storage infrastructure based on project requirements, capacity plans, and system support.
• Problem solving involves basic troubleshooting following the OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) model, making or calling for equipment repairs, and problem escalation.
• Monitors, troubleshoots, diagnoses, and remedies server and network related problems and failures.
• Installs and configures server and network related hardware/software which meet the company’s security standards.
