About The Position

Security analysts are responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and identifying deficiencies related to enterprise security systems, particularly alarms and access control. This role monitors and maintains the operational integrity of the enterprise access control and video systems. The analyst will audit SOC security systems and processes to ensure the protection, safeguarding, and security of credit union physical assets and employees. They will coordinate alarm testing with all branches and ensure systems are operable and well maintained. This position delivers solutions and resolves issues of small to moderate scale complexity. The analyst monitors enterprise access control systems including support for localized users, software configuration, cameras, verification of door function, door position switches, alarm sensors, card readers, and other security devices. They will update and maintain security and monitoring related activity logs, and document updates as well as preventative and as-needed maintenance on alarms and more. The role oversees the operational integrity of the enterprise video systems, including review of video for investigative, safety, and operational support needs, as well as preventative maintenance on hardware such as cameras, monitors, servers, DVRs, cabling, mid-spans, access cards, and encoders. The analyst shares security impact reports with Leadership, exhibits a calm sense of urgency during problem analysis, and proactively analyzes and recommends ways to improve building security, systems performance, and functionality. They anticipate potential problems and proactively address solutions, mentor teammates in business and/or technical problem analysis and resolution techniques while balancing primary work, and provide professional and courteous service to SSFCU members and employees through interactions at all sites, following up to ensure satisfactory resolution. Completes any other job-related duties needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Purpose, and abide by our Organization's Values.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of security systems (alarms, cameras, access, etc.) experience.
  • Familiarity with security software platforms.
  • Must remain onsite or work extended hours during natural disasters and on campus/sites.
  • Computer software proficiency including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; read and write detailed security reports.
  • Work a flexible schedule to accommodate business events and provide seven day a week twenty-four hour a day on call support.
  • Local or long distance travel may be required for business purposes occasionally.
  • Valid driver's license, a good driving record, and insurability.
  • Lift 25 lbs. without assistance from either lifting equipment.
