About The Position

Alpha Omega is seeking a qualified Information System Security/Vulnerability Assessment Analyst in support of our NETC Cyber customer. In this role, this individual will be responsible for software security, including designing, implementing, and managing security policies, RMF processes, vulnerability remediation, and compliance activities. Capable of working independently while supporting complex security initiatives, troubleshooting moderate-level issues, and guiding junior team members in secure system operations and risk management.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with Navy and DoD Cyber vulnerability assessment and security tools, including ACAS
  • 3+ years of experience with Cyber vulnerability remediation and Cyber risk analysis
  • 1+ years of experience with DoD security technical implementation guidelines (STIG) and Security Readiness Guidelines (SRGs)
  • 8+ years of professional work experience (inclusive of aforementioned tech experience)
  • HS diploma or GED
  • DoD 8140 Cyber Workforce Certification (minimum of CompTIA Security+ certification)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with VMware, Cisco networking or switching devices, networks architecture, databases, TCP/IP, or VLANs
  • Experience with VRAM and eMASS
  • Experience with the US Navy

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage procedures to ensure database and software security.
  • Apply specific functional, working, and general industry knowledge.
  • Develop or contribute to solutions for a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Work independently with some guidance and review or guide the activities of junior employees.
