About The Position

GovCIO is hiring a Senior Network Engineer to provide classified and unclassified Tier 3 senior-level support for the design, implementation, and deployment of network-specific technologies across an enterprise environment consisting of hundreds of locations worldwide. The position is based in Merrifield, Virginia, and is hybrid.

The role provides engineering and operational support for cloud providers, including AWS and Azure; on-premises datacenters; campus networks; DMVPN; Layer 2/3 and wireless networks; network applications installed on client workstations; LAN and WAN optimization; datacenter load balancing; and network access security, including 802.1x and Cisco ISE. It also provides subject-matter-expert support for Cisco ACI, Cisco NDO, Cisco APIC, Cisco UCS, VMware virtualization, and UCS Director.

Requirements

• High school education and 10+ years of network engineering experience, or commensurate experience.
• Active Secret clearance.
• Ability to obtain and hold DEA suitability.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering and operational support for AWS and Azure cloud providers, on-premises datacenters, campus networks, DMVPN, Layer 2/3 networks, and wireless networks.
• Support network applications installed on client workstations and optimize LAN and WAN environments.
• Support datacenter load balancing and network access security, including 802.1x and Cisco ISE.
• Provide subject-matter-expert support for Cisco ACI, Cisco NDO, Cisco APIC, Cisco UCS, VMware virtualization, and UCS Director.
• Provide classified and unclassified Tier 3 senior-level support for the design, implementation, and deployment of network-specific technologies across an enterprise environment.
