Network & Systems Administrator (23983)

DARRAN FurnitureArchdale, NC
Onsite

About The Position

DARRAN Furniture is seeking a hands-on Network & Systems Administrator to own the day-to-day operation and support of our technology environment. This role is ideal for an experienced administrator who enjoys solving problems across networking, Microsoft 365, servers, endpoints, ERP support, vendors, and manufacturing technology without being buried in a narrow specialty. You'll inherit an environment that is being actively modernized and standardized. DARRAN is transitioning toward UniFi networking, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Hyper-V, stronger monitoring and security, and a future SaaS ERP platform. You'll be the internal technical owner who keeps that environment healthy, supported, documented, and moving forward.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on IT infrastructure, network, systems administration, or similar experience preferred.
  • Strong networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLANs, switching, routing, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, and wireless networking.
  • Experience administering Microsoft 365 and Entra ID.
  • Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory.
  • Virtualization experience; Hyper-V experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and the ability to write or maintain practical SQL queries.
  • Experience supporting an ERP, manufacturing system, or other mission-critical business application.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause-analysis skills.
  • Comfort managing MSPs, software vendors, telecom providers, and support contracts.
  • Excellent documentation, organization, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, or ERP-driven business experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day operation of DARRAN's wired and wireless network, including UniFi gateways, switches, access points, VLANs, VPNs, Internet connectivity, and monitoring.
  • Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft Hyper-V, and remaining on-premises infrastructure.
  • Microsoft 365 administration including users, groups, licensing, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra ID, and Intune.
  • Freshservice ticket ownership, prioritization, escalation, documentation, and follow-through.
  • Internal coordination for Intuitive ERP support, including vendor tickets, issue tracking, escalation, knowledge capture, and support meetings.
  • Basic to intermediate Microsoft SQL Server support, SQL queries, scheduled-job monitoring, and operational reporting.
  • Existing reporting tools such as Power BI, SSRS, Crystal Reports, and Excel as needed by the business.
  • NinjaOne, SentinelOne, patching, endpoint health, security alerts, and infrastructure monitoring.
  • Technology vendors, contracts, renewals, warranties, licenses, support contacts, and service escalations.
  • Technology assets, network diagrams, system documentation, vendor documentation, and support knowledge.
  • Plant and manufacturing technology connectivity, including machine PCs, scanners, warehouse terminals, printers, and other network-connected equipment.
  • Own the Follow-Through: Open and manage vendor support cases and keep them moving. Know when an ERP, network, server, or security problem needs escalation. Hold vendors accountable for response time and deliverables. Document the fix so the same issue becomes easier the next time. Make sure important tickets do not disappear into a queue. Give production, ERP, security, and companywide issues priority over lower-impact work.
