Requirements

Active TS/SCI w/ polygraph
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical/scientific discipline
Minimum ten (10) years of experience as a Systems Integrator, Systems Administrator, or in a Cybersecurity role; 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Experience with SIEM tools like Splunk, Elastic and/or similar products
Active DOD 8570 IAT Level 2 Certification or higher (ex: Security+ CE, CySA+, Network+, SSCP, etc.)

Nice To Haves

Master's Degree in Engineering or related field of study and 8+ years of experience
Experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services)
Experience with STIGs/IAVA
A problem solver who can get in, be given a project, and use engineering skills to determine a solution
Has, or is willing to gain, more diverse IT skills, including Windows/Linux and networking
Able to build systems from the ground up – network architecture/systems engineering

Responsibilities

Set up and monitor Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems and products
Detect, investigate and respond to security threats
Configure and support virtual environments including AWS, VMware and Proxmox
Maintain various operating systems with a variety of users and activities
Apply cybersecurity knowledge to configure IT equipment to proper security standards
Install, troubleshoot, and manage applications, systems, and networks
Test systems and resolve security vulnerabilities
Participate in the government's Risk Management Framework (RMF) to maintain system accreditation
Work with ISSOs to determine appropriate IT policies, while creating and improving upon system documentation
Interact with and assist customers from various parts of USCYBERCOM
Help manage computers, servers, networks, IT security systems and other critical components of USCYBERCOM’s IT infrastructure
