Systems/Network Engineer (TS/SCI /w poly required)
About The Position
A seasoned network engineer with over 20 hands on years’ experience preferably in an intelligence community environment. The candidate should have experience with CISCO switches, routers and firewalls, dell and other servers, network laptops, network debug and analysis tools such as Wirehsark and Tripwire. The candidate should also have experience with devices such as Palo Alto, Haipe or other security appliances. Experience should also include: Network security hardening experience Specific knowledge of CISCO switches, routers and firewalls to include the Cisco 9300 series switches Demonstrated ability to design and develop rack configurations drawings and network diagrams Expertise and knowledge of switches, routers, firewalls, security appliances and architectures of network as a service Network security and network hardening experience in DoW environments Support for SSP development Network Troubleshooting Evaluation of message receiving functions Assessment of Acks and Nacks Ability to understand specific functions Drawing and configuration of racks Assess if network is configured correctly Review firewall traffic (use of Packet Tools and Tripwire) Tools: Wireshark and others Ability to determine which side of the network problem is from a connection standpoint Network Requirements Evaluation and developing network diagrams in Visio, PowerPoint and Excel Physical Network Construction (installation of switches, fiber, cables security devices and more) on SERD for SCS/ESB Assistance to tamper and concealment group in assessing needs for design and deployed network HAIPE MTU assessment and review Fiber installation and removal Experience with JIRA, Confluence and similar tools Candidate must interact well as an individual contributor or member of a focused team.
Requirements
- HS Diploma
- 10+ years of related experience
- Strong Network Experience
- Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph required
- US citizenship required
- 20 + years of related experience
- Experience with CISCO switches, routers and firewalls
- Experience with dell and other servers
- Experience with network laptops
- Experience with network debug and analysis tools such as Wirehsark and Tripwire
- Experience with devices such as Palo Alto, Haipe or other security appliances
