About The Position

Martignetti is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join their collaborative IT team. This role involves designing, supporting, securing, and improving the network infrastructure that connects corporate, warehouse, and remote locations. The position requires hands-on work with routing, switching, firewalls, wireless, remote access, and core network services, as well as contributing to infrastructure projects that support business needs.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with routing, switching, firewalls, wireless, remote access, segmentation, and network security technologies.
  • Experience with Sonicwall firewalls, Cisco or Aruba switches, Cisco or Aruba wireless access points, and controllers.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, subnetting, access control lists, network address translation, quality of service, high availability, eBGP, iBGP, EIGRP, and OSPF.
  • Experience using monitoring, logging, packet capture, configuration backup, troubleshooting, and performance analysis tools.
  • Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
  • A collaborative working style, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to explain technical issues clearly to both IT and business partners.
  • 3-5 years of enterprise network engineering experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications such as CCNP, CCNA, Fortinet NSE, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent hands-on experience are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and support enterprise network solutions across LAN, WAN, DMZ, wireless, firewall, remote access, and security environments.
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues and serve as a senior escalation point when support teams need deeper technical guidance.
  • Lead and support projects such as site buildouts, hardware refreshes, firewall updates, network segmentation, and circuit upgrades.
  • Monitor network availability and performance and recommend improvements that increase reliability, security, and scalability.
  • Maintain clear network documentation, diagrams, standards, procedures, and implementation plans.
  • Support core services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, NPS, authentication, and related infrastructure dependencies.
  • Work with internal teams, carriers, vendors, and managed service providers to resolve issues and deliver network improvements.
  • Participate in change control, maintenance windows, disaster recovery planning, and occasional after-hours support.
  • Participate in an on call 7 x 24 rotation.
