About The Position

TA Services is seeking a Network Specialist to join their TechOps/IT department. This role involves supporting the configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, and security policies. The specialist will administer and maintain Cisco Meraki switching and wireless environments, monitor network performance, perform firmware updates, and maintain network documentation. The position supports hybrid connectivity between on-premises systems and cloud environments like Microsoft Azure. The work environment is collaborative, fast-paced, and supports a multi-site enterprise network infrastructure.

Requirements

• Foundational knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, and DNS
• Experience with network monitoring tools, documentation practices, and basic troubleshooting methodologies
• 1–3 years of experience in a network support, IT support, or similar technical role
• Eager to learn with a strong sense of curiosity about systems and networking
• Hands-on and proactive, with a willingness to take ownership of assigned tasks
• Detail-oriented and disciplined in following processes and maintaining documentation
• Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to ask thoughtful questions
• Reliable team player with clear communication skills and a collaborative approach

Nice To Haves

• Exposure to or experience with Fortinet firewalls and/or Cisco Meraki environments preferred
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms is a plus

Responsibilities

• Support the configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure, including Fortinet firewalls, VPNs, and security policies.
• Administer and maintain Cisco Meraki switching and wireless environments, including VLAN management and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Monitor network performance and alerts; identify, troubleshoot, and escalate issues such as outages, latency, and connectivity disruptions.
• Perform firmware updates, patching, and assist with change management procedures across network devices.
• Maintain accurate network documentation and support hybrid connectivity between on-premises systems and cloud environments (e.g., Microsoft Azure).
