About The Position

TA Services is seeking a Network Specialist to join their TechOps/IT department. This role involves supporting the configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, and security policies. The specialist will administer and maintain Cisco Meraki switching and wireless environments, monitor network performance, perform updates and patching, and maintain network documentation. The position also supports hybrid connectivity between on-premises systems and cloud environments like Microsoft Azure. This is a full-time position with standard business hours, occasional after-hours support, and participation in an on-call rotation. The work environment is office-based or hybrid, collaborative, and fast-paced.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Network Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field preferred. Equivalent hands-on experience or relevant certifications may be considered in place of formal education.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a network support, IT support, or similar technical role.
  • Foundational knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, and DNS.
  • Exposure to or experience with Fortinet firewalls and/or Cisco Meraki environments preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms is a plus.
  • Experience with network monitoring tools, documentation practices, and basic troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Eager to learn with a strong sense of curiosity about systems and networking.
  • Hands-on and proactive, with a willingness to take ownership of assigned tasks.
  • Detail-oriented and disciplined in following processes and maintaining documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to ask thoughtful questions.
  • Reliable team player with clear communication skills and a collaborative approach.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support the configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure, including Fortinet firewalls, VPNs, and security policies.
  • Administer and maintain Cisco Meraki switching and wireless environments, including VLAN management and connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Monitor network performance and alerts; identify, troubleshoot, and escalate issues such as outages, latency, and connectivity disruptions.
  • Perform firmware updates, patching, and assist with change management procedures across network devices.
  • Maintain accurate network documentation and support hybrid connectivity between on-premises systems and cloud environments (e.g., Microsoft Azure).
