About The Position

Works independently under general supervision to provide technical solutions in the management of software, hardware, configurations, and architectures, including network control software, routers, switches, lines, modems, adapters and servers. Plans, installs and maintains network systems for multiple classifications. Monitors network performance and troubleshoots and resolves complex problems to maintain operating efficiency and ensure quality transmission service on the network. Uses subject matter expertise to diagnose and solve issues and has some authority to deviate from standard operating procedures.

Requirements

Minimum BA or BS degree in Information Technology or related field.
Requires three or more years' experience as a Network Administrator.
Requires knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network troubleshooting and support, operating systems and applications and network management.
Must have working knowledge of current technologies and products for MTC services and security.
Must possess a SECRET clearance.
IAT II Certification
IAW 8570.00
IAW 8570.01

Nice To Haves

An additional five years of experience as a Network Administrator can be substituted for the lack of a degree.
