About The Position

This is an internal promotional opportunity for current UML employees in the same bargaining unit, intended to advance within the Network Engineer career progression. Placement may be at the Associate Network Engineer (P17), Network Engineer (P18), or Senior Network Engineer (P19) level, based on qualifications, experience, and demonstrated competencies. The posting anticipates placement at the Network Engineer level, P19. The position is full-time, benefited, and in the SEIU professional union. The role involves network engineering and design in a complex enterprise or university environment. Depending on level, work includes supporting and designing routing, switching, wireless systems, cabling infrastructure, network services, authentication, monitoring, and troubleshooting. More senior levels require advanced configuration, automation, diagnostics, and expertise across network technologies and observability systems. Applicants must be current UML employees in the same bargaining unit. A resume, cover letter, and names and contact information for three references are required with the application.
