About The Position

This is an internal promotional opportunity for current UML employees in the same bargaining unit to advance within the Network Engineer career progression. Placement may be at the Associate Network Engineer (P17), Network Engineer (P18), or Senior Network Engineer (P19) level, depending on qualifications, experience, and demonstrated competencies. The posting anticipates placement at the Network Engineer level, P19. At the Associate level, the role requires foundational hands-on experience supporting network engineering, infrastructure, routing, switching, wireless systems, physical cabling, and related technologies. At the Network Engineer level, the role involves increasingly responsible network engineering and design in a complex environment, including supporting enterprise routing, switching, wireless, authentication, and network services. At the Senior level, the role requires advanced design, configuration, automation, troubleshooting, and support of network infrastructure and services in a complex enterprise or university environment. The position is full-time, benefited, and in the SEIU professional union. Applicants must submit a resume and cover letter; names and contact information for three references are required at the time of application.
