About The Position

AEVEX - Maritime Systems is seeking a Network Engineer to support the development, integration, and deployment of advanced networking solutions for mobile Department of Defense (DoD) platforms and unmanned systems. The role designs and sustains resilient, distributed communications architectures for contested, bandwidth-limited, and dynamic operational environments, with a focus on mesh networking, tactical radio systems, and secure networking for mobile or expeditionary platforms. Experience supporting unmanned systems, including familiarity with drone software tools and communication protocols, is strongly desired. The engineer integrates and troubleshoots mobile network solutions for autonomous systems, maritime platforms, and tactical communications infrastructure while meeting DoD cybersecurity and operational requirements. Work includes laboratory and field performance analysis, deployment and testing with multidisciplinary teams, documentation, and participation in operational demonstrations. The position requires the ability to travel for field testing, integration events, or deployments, and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance. U.S. citizenship is required. AEVEX offers qualified employees a comprehensive benefits package that includes a 401(k) retirement plan; medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance group coverage, with a portion of premiums paid by the company; professional development funds; and an Employee Assistance Plan with counseling, legal help, and child and elder care support.
