About The Position

In this role, the Network Engineer will support OTP operations through system design, security and optimization of the enterprise and industrial computer networks.

Requirements

Demonstrated knowledge of: IP networking, Local and wide area networks, Wireless networking, Routing protocols, Network security, Telephony, Fiber optic technologies, Engineering terms and principals.

Demonstrated experience in the network engineering field including IP networking, routing protocols and networking security is preferred.

Nice To Haves

An Associate’s degree or higher preferred in telecommunications engineering, network engineering, computer science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Evaluate system performance to ensure reliability and availability meets the needs of the company and recommend projects to enhance or improve based on the needs of the company.
Analyze cybersecurity vulnerabilities and execute patch management and root cause mitigation strategies.
Design and implement continuous improvement strategies that increase efficiencies through automation.
Collaborate with internal and external engineers to ensure projects meets OTP’s standards.
