About The Position

Flash Technology Group is hiring a Network Engineer III to perform network engineering tasks and functions. The role develops and implements scalable network solutions, installs and maintains network hardware and software, applies network security measures, resolves network issues, monitors network health, and maintains network documentation. An active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required. The stated qualification routes are a bachelor's degree in a technical field plus 10 years of experience, or a high school education plus 15 years of experience. Salary varies with experience and other factors; the listed range is $160,000–$190,000.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
• A bachelor's degree in a technical field and 10 years of experience, or a high school education and 15 years of experience.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Network Engineer within the last 3 years.
• Proficiency with Linux.
• CCNA or CCNP certification.
• Security+ certification.

Nice To Haves

• Linux system administration experience.
• Working knowledge of, and ability to use or support, preferably most of the following resources and tools: Juniper and Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls; Palo Alto firewalls; Dell and HPE Linux servers; Ansible; Nutanix VM management; Rubrik data storage; Nomad containers; SALT scripts; LibreNMS; and NetBox.
• Experience patching and upgrading Linux servers and networking resources.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and implement scalable network solutions, new network layouts, and upgrades.
• Install, configure, and maintain network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls, and network software.
• Implement and manage network security measures, including firewall rules, access controls, and security protocols to protect data.
• Resolve network issues.
• Monitor network health, analyze traffic patterns, and improve visibility through metrics and alerting.
• Create and maintain network documentation, policies, and procedures.
