About The Position

We are seeking a Network Engineer to join our team supporting the Defense Logistics Agency's Wide Area Network (WAN) Support Team. Requirements

  • Clearance: Secret with IT-1 Sensitivity
  • Must have five years telecommunications systems experience with at least three years of local or wide area network experience.
  • DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II or higher (one of the following): CCNA-Security, CSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+CE, SSCP, CASP CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH
  • Computing Environment (one of the following): CCNA
  • Experience in Routing and traffic shaping protocols BGP, MPLS, OSPF
  • Experience with Remote Access VPN, Site to Site VPN, DMVPN
  • Experience with Quality of Service (QoS) implementation and design
  • Experience with IPV6 implementation and design
  • Experience with 1x and MAB endpoint authentication
  • Experience with DNS
  • Experience with TACACS+
  • Experience with Radius
  • Experience with Network Hardware: Cisco/Brocade
  • Experience with Network Authentication and Visibility: Pulse Secure IC Series Unified Access Control Appliance, Great Bay Beacon Server, Cisco ACS
  • Experience with IPAM: InfoBlox Grid Manager
  • Experience with Remote Access VPN: Pulse Secure, Palo Alto, Ivanti SSL VPN Appliance
  • Experience with Network Sniffers: NetScout, InfiniStream . NGeniusOne
  • Experience with Network Monitoring and Management tools: HPE Network Node Manager (NNMi), HPE Network Automation (NA), Concord eHealth, Red Seal, Solarwinds/Orion
  • US Citizenship

  • Network proxy and load balancing: F5 BigIP Proxy/Traffic Management appliances

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes and develops telecommunications networks supporting a wide range of capabilities, including voice, data, video, and/or wireless services
  • Develops designs and plans for installation and maintenance of telecommunications systems from project inception to conclusion
  • Analyzes the problem and the characteristics of the information to be transported
  • Defines the problem and develops system requirements and network specifications
  • Closely coordinates with other information system professionals to ensure proper implementation of network services
  • In conjunction with functional users, develops alternative solutions and backup plans
