As a Network Engineer, you will design, develop, upgrade, and support enterprise-wide network infrastructure for Air Force missions. You will assess existing environments as they expand from on-premises infrastructure to the cloud, helping improve security, reliability, and availability for mission-critical network systems. The role applies expertise in network design and architecture, routing and switching, system interoperability, IP engineering, network transport layers, MPLS, gateway protocols, virtual routing and forwarding, and encryption equipment integration. You will use knowledge of network protocols, equipment, and emerging technologies to optimize client operations and modernization, and advise clients on mission-critical projects. Relevant technologies and environments include software and hardware firewalls, Cisco hardware, Palo Alto firewalls, cloud migration, and optical infrastructure networking. The position requires experience integrating commercial cloud environments with on-premises enterprise network services and security architectures, implementing cloud network components and segmented network designs, and diagnosing complex connectivity and performance issues. You will document designs, test procedures, operational runbooks, and security requirements. A TS/SCI clearance and CompTIA Security+ certification are required.
