About The Position

The Network Engineer I is a focal point for all internal and external orders required to maintain the network. This position requires the ability to work independently with a high level of accuracy and attention to details. Technical Responsibilities: Troubleshoot issues across networking, systems, and basic power infrastructure domains, including UPS configuration, power distribution, and standard datacenter power connectors (e.g. 20A and 30A circuits) Diagnose and resolve physical layer outages, including device failures, boot issues, cabling faults, and power-related problems Install, rack, cable, and maintain network infrastructure and associated equipment Triage and resolve tickets related to network infrastructure and cabling issues Serve as an on-site resource for networking infrastructure and related physical systems Troubleshoot and replace network hardware as needed Manage inventory in accordance with our standards Act as remote hands and eyes for engineering teams during deployments and incident response

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with wired, optical, and wireless networking equipment
  • Understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts
  • Familiarity with basic network troubleshooting and device bring-up
  • Experience working with ticketing systems such as Jira or similar tools
  • Ability to work independently and manage on-site priorities effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to troubleshooting
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a regular on-site presence based on an agreed schedule

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with rack and stack, structured cabling, and hardware lifecycle management
  • Experience supporting office, lab, or datacenter environments
  • Familiarity with inventory management and spare parts tracking
  • Exposure to enterprise networking environments and tooling
