The Network Engineer I will play a vital role in supporting EPC's mission and ensuring operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Experience with hardware and network infrastructure (cameras, switches, routers, etc.)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with IPv4 addressing and routing. IPv6 not required.
  • Experience programming and troubleshooting Cisco network equipment.
  • Some PowerShell experience with local and remote networking.
  • Command line Linux experience.
  • Includes sitting, standing, bending, twisting and the ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Windows Server 2016-2025 administration
  • Security + CompTIA certification
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Microsoft Office product experience including Visio, Word, Excel
  • Understanding of E-mail transport and troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of DNS and domains. Both internal and public.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting issues locally and remotely using network maps and command line tools
  • Work closely with other IT staff to coordinate physical fixes where needed
  • Diagnosing network or equipment issues, and seeing problems through to resolution
  • Working within a Linux-based environment to support enterprise hardware
  • Documenting networks at EPC supported facilities
  • Documenting Network procedures where none exist and updating current procedures when needed.
  • Configure replacement switches and routers to replace end of life appliances.
  • Other duties as assigned by department
