The Network Engineer I performs routine network engineering functions. This role involves assisting with network design, troubleshooting, and repair of data communications networks. The position also includes consulting with clients, implementing tests, and assisting with new technology deployments. Documentation of network designs, plans, and procedures is a key responsibility, as is producing reports for management and users. The role also supports the technology infrastructure for Athletics venues and event spaces, ensuring network connectivity, IP camera systems, and display boards are operational during events. This includes performing pre-event technology readiness checks, coordinating with various stakeholders for event production requirements, and assisting with the configuration and deployment of event-specific network infrastructure. Post-event assessments and maintenance of surveillance and access control systems are also part of the duties.
