The Network Engineer I performs routine network engineering functions. This role involves assisting with network design, troubleshooting, and repair of data communications networks. The position also requires consulting with clients, implementing tests, and assisting with new technology deployments. Documentation and reporting are key aspects, including maintaining accurate records of configurations and producing various reports for management and users. The role also includes administrative and operational support, participating in training, assisting other employees, providing on-call support, and completing small projects. Additionally, the Network Engineer I will support the technology infrastructure for Athletics venues and event spaces, ensuring network connectivity, IP camera systems, and display boards are operational. This includes performing pre-event technology readiness checks, coordinating with various stakeholders for event production requirements, and assisting with the configuration and deployment of event-specific network infrastructure. Support for post-event technology assessments and maintenance of surveillance and access control systems are also part of the responsibilities.
