About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer with deep Cisco technology experience to design, implement, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize complex network systems and subsystems for government clients. This role requires hands-on expertise with Cisco ASA Firepower, Cisco Nexus switches, Cisco routers, and Cisco Systems IOS. The engineer will collaborate with network operations administrators, technical support teams, and other engineers to move networks smoothly from development into operations. The work may include network architecture design, performance management, network planning, IP engineering, layer 2 switching, GRE tunnels, IBGP, and secure network implementation. Join us. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in Cisco network engineering
  • Experience with network design, implementation, maintenance, performance management, and planning
  • Experience with data network installation, GRE tunnels, and internal border gateway protocol (IBGP)
  • Experience with Juniper networks and MPLS L3VPN
  • Knowledge of Cisco ASA Firepower, Cisco Nexus switches, Cisco routers, and Cisco Systems IOS
  • Knowledge of network security design principles and practices
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with network computing, network operations support, and network architecture design
  • Experience with Cisco TMS and Cisco Voice
  • Experience with network security auditing and information assurance
  • Experience working in a hybrid delivery environment
  • Experience with enterprise information security architecture and internet security principles
  • Knowledge of local area network (LAN) design and maintenance engineering principles
  • Possession of excellent problem-solving skills, for complex network issues
  • Possession of excellent communication and collaboration skills, including with cross-functional teams
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Cisco Certification such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE Certification
