Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required
  • 3-5 years of enterprise network administration experience preferred
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco networking equipment preferred
  • Experience supporting multi-site environments preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of: Cisco Catalyst Switching Platforms, Cisco Routing Technologies, Cisco Wireless Infrastructure, Cisco Firepower Security Solutions, TCP/IP Networking, VLANs and Trunking, OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP Routing Protocols, Spanning Tree Protocol, DHCP and DNS Services, VPN Technologies, Network Monitoring Platforms, Quality of Service (QoS) and Traffic Management, Network Security Best Practices

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, wireless controllers, and access points
  • Support enterprise WAN, LAN, WLAN, and VPN environments
  • Configure and maintain VLANs, routing protocols, and switching technologies
  • Perform firmware updates, equipment replacements, and infrastructure upgrades
  • Monitor network performance and availability to ensure optimal operation
  • Administer Cisco Firepower security solutions and network security controls
  • Configure ACLs, VPNs, network segmentation, and port security policies
  • Monitor for vulnerabilities and security threats
  • Support cybersecurity initiatives, compliance efforts, and security best practices
  • Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning
  • Deploy and maintain enterprise wireless infrastructure
  • Configure wireless controllers and access points
  • Optimize coverage, performance, and user experience
  • Troubleshoot connectivity and roaming issues
  • Diagnose and resolve network outages and performance issues
  • Perform packet captures, traffic analysis, and root cause investigations
  • Collaborate with server, security, and application teams on complex issues
  • Participate in infrastructure projects, technology refreshes, and expansion initiatives
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements
