About The Position

BAE Systems is seeking a Network Engineer Senior Principal II to join their Intelligence & Security team. This role involves the design, implementation, and management of complex networks, with a focus on network architecture, design, and implementation in a large-scale environment. The position requires a proven track record of successfully resolving complex network issues and improving network performance. The candidate will also be responsible for providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and creating technical documentation. The availability of this position is contingent on obtaining a high-level security clearance.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree are preferred
Minimum of eleven (16) year’s relevant experience
In-depth knowledge of network architecture, design, and implementation
In-depth knowledge of specific network technologies such as routing, switching, and firewalls
In-depth knowledge with routing protocols such as EIGRP, BGP, ISIS
In-depth knowledge with switching protocols such as STP, LACP, VTP
In-depth knowledge of firewalls, VPN protocols, and NAT
In-depth knowledge of network automation
Cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Google)
Software-defined networking (SD-WAN)
Ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
Experience with creating technical documentation such as designs, implementation plans, and technical notes
Ability to brief designs to review boards
Knowledge in deploying MPLS networks
Ability to learn, understand and implement new technologies
Independent learner with a proven ability to master complex technical concepts through self-study and practice
Adept in network engineering, with focus on design, implementation, and management of complex networks
Experience with network architecture, design, and implementation in a large-scale environment
Proven track record of successfully resolving complex network issues and improving network performance
Willing to learn new technologies
Experience with and configuring VERSA
Experience scripting in JAVA and Python
