About The Position
CTG is hiring a Network Attached Storage (NAS) Engineer for a long-term remote contract supporting enterprise storage infrastructure and mission-critical file services environments. This role is ideal for an experienced storage engineer with strong expertise in Dell EMC PowerScale (Isilon), enterprise NAS administration, Windows/Linux file services, and disaster recovery operations. The role is a 12-month contract with possible extension.
Requirements
- Strong experience supporting Dell EMC PowerScale (Isilon) or enterprise NAS platforms
- Expertise in Microsoft Windows and Linux file services environments
- Deep understanding of SMB, NFS, Active Directory, NTFS permissions, ACLs, DFS, and DNS
- Experience with storage replication, disaster recovery, and operational support
- Scripting and automation experience with PowerShell, Bash, and/or Python
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group
Nice To Haves
- Experience supporting Oracle technologies including WebLogic, C2M, or CC&B
- Background in enterprise file migrations and storage modernization initiatives
- Familiarity with object storage technologies and modern file-sharing protocols
- Experience supporting compliance, legal hold, or audit-related requests
Responsibilities
- Design, administer, and support Dell EMC PowerScale (Isilon) NAS environments
- Manage enterprise file services across Windows and Linux platforms
- Configure and maintain SMB, NFS, Active Directory integration, ACLs, quotas, snapshots, and replication services
- Perform PowerScale patching, upgrades, SyncIQ replication, and disaster recovery activities
- Execute file migrations using Robocopy and related tools
- Troubleshoot complex file permission and cross-platform access issues
- Support compliance, audit, and legal data access requests
- Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, Python, and command-line tools
- Maintain operational documentation and support change management processes
