About The Position

The Network and Cabling Technician is responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting network and low-voltage infrastructure throughout the stadium and associated facilities. This role is highly hands-on and supports a wide range of systems including networking, broadcast, AV, and structured cabling. Technicians operate in dynamic, high-demand environments, including live events, and must ensure all systems are installed and maintained to high standards of performance, reliability, and serviceability.

Requirements

  • Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, routing, and switching.
  • Hands-on experience with terminating and testing fiber, Ethernet, and AV/broadcast cabling.
  • Ability to read and interpret network diagrams, floor plans, and wiring schematics.
  • Proficiency with tools such as punch down tools, crimpers, and cable testers.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in the field.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift equipment, climb ladders, and work in tight or elevated spaces.
  • Willingness to perform manual tasks associated with transporting, positioning, and installing equipment as needed.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with horizontal cabling systems, including pathway planning, large-scale cable pulls, and adherence to structured cabling standards.
  • Proficiency with tools such as fiber cleavers and fusion splicers.
  • Industry certifications such as BICSI, CompTIA Network+, or fiber optic certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Terminate, test, and certify multiple cable types, including: Fiber optic (single mode and multi-mode) using appropriate connectors and polishing methods, Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A Ethernet cabling with RJ45 terminations, XLR audio cabling for AV or broadcast environments, HD SDI and other coaxial video cables used in production, surveillance, or broadcast systems, Additional low voltage cabling as required by project scope
  • Perform cable routing, labeling, dressing, and rack mount organization to professional standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues using test equipment such as OTDRs, TDRs, cable certifiers, and network analyzers.
  • Conduct routine maintenance, firmware updates, and hardware replacements.
  • Document all installations, service calls, test results, and network changes.
  • Follow established change management and documentation procedures.
  • Provide on-site technical support and communicate clearly with clients and team members.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and security standards and best practices while working in diverse environments (offices, data centers, industrial sites, broadcast facilities, etc.).
  • Install and organize network racks, cabinets, rails, shelves, and cable management systems.
  • Mount and secure network devices, patch panels, power strips, UPS units, and AV/broadcast gear.
  • Maintain clean, well labeled, and logically organized rack layouts for long term serviceability.
  • Perform power management tasks including load balancing, UPS testing, and grounding verification.
  • Provide on-site support during events, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including broadcast, front-office, football operations, and stadium operations.
  • Maintain a professional appearance consistent with company grooming and dress standards appropriate for fieldwork, office, and event environments.
