About The Position

As the Network Analyst (CSO 3) you will work on the day-to-day network tasks and provide assistance to the network support team. You will have overall responsibility for the analysis, development and implementation of mission critical networking projects.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science plus 3 years related experience in network technology, or graduation from a recognized Information Technology Program plus 3 years and 6 months related experience in network technology.
Proven record and ability to develop, maintain, and support a complex network infrastructure.
Flexible and adaptable to ever changing priorities and legacy & new technologies.
Extensively knowledgeable and highly skilled in Cisco (LAN, WAN,WLAN).
Knowledge in layer 2 & 3 protocols including, TCP/IP, Spanning Tree, VLAN, OSPF, and BGP, etc.
High degree of logical problem-solving ability.
Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
Experience in Project Management and Change Management.
Experience working in a ticketing system.
Ability to lead and contribute to an IT support team by working on multiple tasks at the same time.
Ability to work well with people.
A driving license and a vehicle are required for traveling to the clients’ sites within the province.
May require frequent traveling to different sites within the Northern zone.

Responsibilities

Analyze, clarify and transfer business requirements into technical requirements.
Implement network solutions based on the Government’s technology, security and architecture standards.
Configure and install Cisco Wi-Fi access points, network switches, and router products.
Configure layer 2 & 3 protocols, including, TCP/IP, Spanning Tree, VLAN, QOS, etc.
Work on different networking technologies (DNS, DHCP, SMTP, LDAP, SMB, SSH, VPN, NAT, IPSec, VoIP, etc.).
Work with IT vendors on networking purchasing orders.
Lead networking projects as assigned from start to end.
Configure and troubleshoot network and infrastructure/UPS systems.
Work with other IT groups as the network resource to meet their technical needs.
Solve problems and issues reported by business clients.
Set priorities in cooperation with the manager.
Meet project deadlines.
Other duties as required.
