About The Position

This is a second shift position responsible for the daily operating and maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and testing of C2BMC networks. The role involves configuring, installing, testing, and sustaining IT network and boundary protection devices and systems. The Network Analyst will perform technical validation of network designs, data collection and validation of network services, and assist integration managers in problem definition and root cause analysis. They will provide timely updates on task status and troubleshooting efforts, make recommendations for work plans, and install and test new hardware. The position also requires using the REMEDY ticketing system for problem reporting and documentation. Typical hours are 1400-2200, but duty hours may occasionally change to meet mission activities.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of general (full-time) work experience.
  • Experience in firewall configuration and troubleshooting required.
  • Experience with IP addressing, subnetting, and NAT required.
  • Experience with Cisco or Juniper routers, switches, firewalls required.
  • Experience configuring OSPF, SNMP, Syslog, VRF, and network timing systems required.
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Candidate must be in possession of a Secret Security Clearance.
  • Current DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification with Continuing Education (CE) - (CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP) required.

Nice To Haves

  • CCNA or JNCIA certification preferred.
  • Experience with network monitoring preferred.
  • Experience using Juniper Apstra to build and deploy network configurations preferred.
  • Experience with software defined networking, such as VMware NSX preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Visio diagramming preferred.
  • Knowledge of Missile Defense, DoD communications systems and MDIOC operations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily hands-on operating and maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and testing of C2BMC networks.
  • Configure, install, test, and sustain IT network and boundary protection devices and systems.
  • Perform technical validation of network designs in accordance with industry best practices and DoD policies and guidelines.
  • Perform data collection and validation of network services and devices.
  • Assist integration managers in problem definition and root cause analysis as needed.
  • Provide timely updates to appropriate team leads, managers and stakeholders on status of tasks and troubleshooting efforts.
  • Make recommendations to plan, develop and execute work plans that achieve critical-path requirements.
  • Work with the project team to install and test new hardware as needed for lifecycle management.
  • Use REMEDY ticketing system to report, track and document problems and resolution life-cycle actions on faulty systems.
