About The Position

Peraton is currently seeking a Network Analyst to operate and maintain the Army-Wide Network Enterprise. This role provides services to over a million users worldwide for both Unclassified and Classified networks. The analyst will interface with Remote Network Enterprise Centers (RNEC) and Defense Information Systems Agencies (DISA) across the country, offering technical assistance. Responsibilities include installing, configuring, and maintaining network protocols on Cisco and Juniper devices, identifying and resolving network connectivity and performance issues, and ensuring compatibility with existing systems. The position involves analyzing network traffic and utilization, providing technical assistance during Authorized Service Interruptions (ASI), and monitoring network performance. Advanced troubleshooting skills are required to solve complex network problems in critical scenarios. The role also includes briefing government officials and military personnel, protecting networks from cyber threats, reviewing network documentation, training personnel, and conducting research and development for future network capabilities. Updating procedures for network hardware and software installation, operation, and maintenance is also part of the role. Requirements

  • 0 years with BS/BA; 4 years no degree; 2 years with Associates Degree
  • Security+ Certification
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Familiarity with protocols including ACL, BGP, IPv6, NTP, SNMP, Spanning Tree, VPN, VRF.
  • Experience using Secure CRT and Appgate SDP.
  • Experience using Visio.
  • Experience using Wireshark.
  • Experience using Spectrum and NDFC.
  • Experience using GAM.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain the Army-Wide Network Enterprise for over a million users globally on Unclassified and Classified networks.
  • Interface with Remote Network Enterprise Centers (RNEC) and Defense Information Systems Agencies (DISA) to provide technical assistance.
  • Install, configure, and maintain network protocols on Cisco and Juniper routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Identify and resolve network connectivity and performance issues.
  • Determine efficiency, reliability, and compatibility with existing systems using Secure CRT and Appgate SDP.
  • Update network designs and topology using Visio.
  • Analyze workload, including traffic and utilization using Wireshark.
  • Oversee or provide technical assistance during Authorized Service Interruptions (ASI).
  • Monitor network performance using Spectrum and NDFC.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting to identify and solve network problems in critical real-world scenarios.
  • Maintain professionalism during high-stress situations.
  • Brief government officials, military personnel, vendors, and/or VIPs on current and future Enterprise status.
  • Protect networks from unauthorized access and cyber threats by implementing and maintaining security measures using GAM.
  • Review and verify network documentation on DCABs, RFC, FCW.
  • Train personnel on capabilities and troubleshooting on WAN Enterprise.
  • Provide research and development on future technology to improve network capabilities.
  • Update procedures for installation, operating, and maintaining network hardware and software.
