About The Position

The Network Analyst intern will assist Network Technologies staff with projects and documentation necessary to maintain the state's relevant networks and systems. Duties to include but not be limited to: network documentation, review and audit of existing systems/databases for accuracy, diagramming and mapping of systems, network device configuration and installation, and assisting with on demand tasks and duties. Network devices being carried may weigh up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

  • Applicant must be a current part-time or full-time student (minimum of 6 credit hours) in upcoming semester or in the immediately preceding semester.
  • Must have completed one year (nine months) of their chosen program by the start of the internship.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Possess excellent communications, scheduling, and organizational abilities.
  • Experience with computers and technology including Windows and Microsoft Office is required.

  • Pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Information Systems, Networking, or similar Information Technology or related field.
  • Excellent writing, phone, and customer service skills.
  • Preference may be given to applicants with a standing of junior/senior.
  • Preference may be given to South Dakota residents.
  • Preference may be given to students of South Dakota institutions.
