About The Position

FMG is hiring a Network Administrator to own the surveillance camera systems and the network infrastructure across the company: two casino properties in Gardena, California, and retail locations throughout the United States. The role sits at the intersection of surveillance technology and enterprise networking. You will keep the cameras recording without gaps, keep the networks that carry that video reliable at every site, and keep the servers, switches, and firewalls behind both healthy in a 24/7 gaming environment and across retail stores that depend on remote support. This is a hands-on position. At the casinos you will terminate and test cable, dress and label patch panels, mount cameras and switches, and do the physical infrastructure work that keeps a gaming floor covered. Across the retail portfolio you will own the same systems largely from a distance: standardizing camera and network builds, supporting store staff and field technicians remotely, and traveling when a site needs someone on the ground. Candidates who want a purely remote or purely console-based role will not enjoy this job; candidates who like owning a system end to end, from the camera mount to the firewall rule, will.

Requirements

Five or more years in network administration, including responsibility for multiple sites, ideally in a 24/7 environment such as gaming, hospitality, or multi-location retail.
Hands-on experience administering IP camera and NVR or DVR surveillance systems, including recording servers, storage and retention management, and video export.
Proven structured cabling skills: pulling, terminating, punching down, patching, testing, and labeling copper and fiber to a professional standard.
Strong working knowledge of Cisco routers and switches, SonicWall firewalls, and Meraki switches and firewalls, including VLANs, VPNs, routing, and PoE.
Experience with Windows Server, VMware, Dell hardware, and Veeam Backup and Replication.
CCNA certification.
Ability to obtain and maintain any gaming license or work permit required by the applicable regulatory authority.
Methodical troubleshooter who can isolate a problem across cameras, cabling, switches, and servers rather than guessing at the layer.
Comfortable working independently across two properties, setting priorities, and finishing projects without daily supervision.
Clear written and verbal communication with technical peers, casino management, and regulators, and the discretion that surveillance access requires.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
Prior casino or card room experience and familiarity with surveillance and compliance expectations in a regulated gaming environment.
Additional certifications such as CCNP, Meraki CMNA, SonicWall SNSA, VMware VCP, BICSI or manufacturer cabling credentials, or a camera platform certification.

Responsibilities

Keep the surveillance camera and NVR systems recording continuously at both casinos and at every retail location, with retention periods that meet gaming regulatory, loss prevention, and internal audit requirements.
Maintain and optimize the network at the casino properties and across the retail footprint so that video, gaming, point-of-sale, and back-office traffic all move without contention or packet loss.
Deliver cabling and physical infrastructure work in-house, from new camera drops to switch and patch panel build-outs, on a schedule that works around casino operations.
Lead infrastructure projects across a multi-site, multi-state footprint that improve security, performance, and reliability, and resolve incidents quickly enough to prevent disruption to the gaming floor or to store operations.
Administer, monitor, and maintain the IP camera and NVR/DVR environment at both casinos, including recording servers, storage arrays, video management software, and client viewing stations.
Verify daily that every camera is online, recording, in focus, correctly framed, and time-synchronized, and correct gaps in coverage or retention before they become audit findings.
Install, mount, aim, and configure new cameras; replace failed units; and manage firmware, IP addressing, and licensing across the camera fleet.
Manage NVR storage capacity and retention schedules, monitor drive and RAID health, and plan expansions before recording days are lost.
Support Surveillance and Compliance staff with video retrieval, exports, and archiving for investigations, gaming regulator requests, and law enforcement, following documented chain-of-custody procedures.
Maintain the dedicated surveillance network segment, including PoE switch capacity, VLAN separation from gaming and corporate traffic, bandwidth planning for video, and uninterruptible power for recording equipment.
Coordinate camera coverage changes with Surveillance management when the floor layout, table games, or slot placement change.
Pull, terminate, and test copper and fiber runs for cameras, access points, workstations, kiosks, and gaming devices, including work above ceilings, in confined spaces, and on the casino floor.
Punch down and patch panels, dress and label cabling, and keep racks, closets, and the data center organized to a standard that a stranger could troubleshoot at 3 a.m.
Certify and document new runs with a cable tester, maintain accurate port maps and labeling schemes, and update as-built records after every change.
Rack, power, and cable network and server hardware, including switches, firewalls, servers, NVRs, and UPS units.
Schedule disruptive cabling and infrastructure work during low-traffic hours and coordinate with Operations and Surveillance before any work that affects the floor.
Design, deploy, and maintain the network infrastructure for both Gardena properties, including Cisco routers and switches, SonicWall firewalls, and Meraki switches and firewalls.
Configure and manage VLANs, VPNs, routing, QoS, PoE, and wireless coverage so that surveillance, gaming, and administrative traffic stay properly segmented and consistently available.
Monitor network devices and circuits, tune performance, and manage firmware and configuration backups for all network equipment.
Administer Windows Server environments, VMware (ESXi and vSAN), Dell hardware, and Veeam Backup and Replication, including routine maintenance, upgrades, and patching.
Maintain and test backups and restores for both server and surveillance data, and keep recovery procedures current for the systems the casinos cannot operate without.
Enforce security controls across both properties, including firewall policy, access control, network segmentation, endpoint protection, and password and account management.
Support PCI compliance and gaming regulatory requirements, including surveillance retention rules, audit evidence, and periodic vulnerability review and remediation.
Diagnose and resolve network, camera, server, hardware, and software issues quickly, escalating to vendors when a fix requires it and keeping stakeholders informed until the issue closes.
Provide end-user support for staff at both casino properties, the Century City office, and retail locations, including workstations, printers, phones, point-of-sale devices, and access to business applications.
Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to after-hours incidents affecting surveillance, gaming, or network availability.
Work with camera, network, and hardware vendors and integrators on installations, upgrades, warranty service, and support contracts, and hold them to scope and schedule.
Evaluate and recommend new technology for casino IT and surveillance operations, including camera and NVR platforms, access control, and network hardware refreshes.
Maintain accurate documentation for network and camera configurations, IP schemes, cable and port maps, rack layouts, system builds, and standard operating procedures at the casinos and at every retail site.
Own the camera, NVR, and network infrastructure at FMG retail locations across the United States, holding each site to a consistent standard for equipment, configuration, addressing, and coverage.
Monitor retail sites remotely for camera outages, recording failures, circuit problems, and equipment health, and resolve issues by remote session or by directing on-site staff and contracted technicians.
Plan and support new store openings, remodels, and closures, including circuit orders, camera and network builds, equipment staging and shipping, and cutover scheduling.
Manage site-to-site connectivity, remote access, and firewall policy for the retail network, and keep loss prevention and store management supplied with the video and access they are authorized to receive.
Travel to retail sites as needed for installations, upgrades, audits, and problems that cannot be solved remotely.
Perform other duties in support of casino IT and surveillance operations.
