As a Tier 2 Network Administrator, you will be challenged with enterprise support problems. You will coordinate with the Network Operations Center and other Operational staff to address break fix, configuration updates, schedule add moves and changes, and technology upgrades and installs for Network routers and switches. You are expected, as one of the experienced Network team members, to coordinate ticket acceptance and resolutions. You will support the development of technical resolution reports for critical outages in the Network. You will conduct approved network changes to include but not limited to VLAN, ACL, and port assignment. You will perform IOS upgrades to routers and switches. You will perform routing and switching equipment technology upgrades to ensure continued operations of the enterprise. You will draft Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for network operations. You will resolve systems failures and accessibility problems within the network to our services. You will support site surveys and engineering designs data calls. You will support new/enhanced network implementation, installation, and technical refresh projects within a site or locale. You will work independently with some supervision. In remote locations, you must function as independent engineering, maintenance, and network problem-solving with minimal or intermittent input from other Tiers/locations. Problems faced are difficult and will require detailed information gathering, analysis, and investigation to understand problems. You will employ creativity and ingenuity for new technical solutions applicable across the enterprise, drawing heavily on prior experience. You will perform Network ticket resolution and support Network ticket closure across Network Operations staff, to include using administrative access to the network to provision new switches, routers, and Cryptographic devices. You will use administrative access to network components to research errors, incidents, problems, and to perform incident analysis and identify potential problems. You will route Service Requests to the appropriate organization required for incident resolution and perform root cause analyses. You will complete problem resolutions associated with incident ticket(s) and review and implement Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
