About The Position

Sandy Lane Hotel, an AAA Five Diamond, Forbes Five Star exclusive resort and a member of Leading Hotels of the World, is seeking to recruit a Network Administrator in our Information Technology Department. The Network Administrator reports to the Information Technology and ensures the continuous, secure, and high-performance operation of all network, communications, and guest-facing technology infrastructure.

Requirements

  • A Degree in Computer Science
  • 5 years’ experience in Network Administration with CCNA, CCNP, CCIE experience.
  • A recognized security certification such as CISSP, CISM, CISA
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications Server 2008, SharePoint, SQL Server 2008
  • Ability to build relationships with discerning and demanding International clientele.
  • Excellent guest relations skills and must be able to interact effectively with ownership, hotel guests, general public and staff at all levels.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging work environment.
  • This position requires a high level of accountability.
  • The successful candidate must be a team player

Nice To Haves

  • Cisco And Microsoft Certifications preferred
  • Experience with Opera PMS and Micros POS will be an asset

Responsibilities

  • Administer LAN, WLAN, WAN, and all networked systems to ensure seamless, high-availability operation across guest rooms, back-of-house, F&B outlets, spa, and recreational areas.
  • Install, configure, and maintain next-generation firewalls, switches, routers, SD-WAN, and data/voice circuits (including VoIP and SIP trunking).
  • Monitor and optimize network performance using modern tools and maintain intrusion detection/prevention (IDS/IPS), endpoint protection, and secure email gateways.
  • Lead network security posture: enforce zero-trust principles, VLAN segmentation, patch management, and regular vulnerability assessments.
  • Protect guest data and PCI/DSS scope systems.
  • Support and integrate property management systems including Oracle Opera PMS and selected POS system, ensuring low-latency, high-reliability connectivity.
  • Manage guest Wi-Fi experience (Cisco Meraki, Aruba) including captive portals, bandwidth policies, and roaming – ensuring 5-diamond expectations for connectivity.
  • Collaborate with vendors and MSPs for circuit provisioning, cloud connectivity, and disaster recovery testing.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergency response (critical for luxury resort operations).
