About The Position

The Network Administrator will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting the local enclave network infrastructure to ensure secure and reliable operations. This role supports routine and emergent network operations for mission training environments, monitors network performance, and implements optimizations. The administrator will identify, isolate, and resolve network issues to maintain high availability and assist in implementing security measures to protect network integrity and DoD information systems.

Requirements

  • Associate in a related technical discipline or equivalent military training (e.g., 25B/H/N).
  • DCWF Network Operations Specialist (441) at Intermediate, with Security+, CCNA, or Network+.
  • Networking concepts and protocols.
  • Knowledge of cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Network security principles and architecture.
  • Network systems management.
  • Troubleshooting and diagnostics.
  • Configuration and maintenance of routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • VPNs, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems (IDS).
  • 3 years in a senior technical role on a DoD network.
  • Extensive hands-on Cisco infrastructure experience including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs.
