About The Position

Perrygo is a small, rapidly growing company seeking a highly motivated and energetic Network Administrator - Journeyman - Boundary Support to join their team. This role supports a Navy customer in Lexington Park, MD, and involves troubleshooting network connectivity and performance issues, designing highly available systems, deploying new devices, and managing security boundaries. The position requires close collaboration with various teams, adherence to customer processes, and participation in a 24x7 on-call rotation. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter capable of learning advanced operations and technologies in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

3+ years of experience with Cisco Catalyst configuration and support
3+ years of experience with Cisco Nexus configuration and support
3+ years of experience with Cisco Firepower configuration and support
3+ years of experience with F5 BIG-IP configuration and support
3+ years of experience with IP networking design
3+ years of experience with Virtual server environments
Experience working with network infrastructure devices and protocols, and a proven ability to design, deploy, and maintain solutions supporting high-availability network infrastructures.
Highly motivated and required to respond to and provide resolutions to problems on a timely basis.
Experience with planning, configuring, managing, monitoring and troubleshooting of a variety of network systems.
Knowledge of DoD Information Assurance practices, including Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG)
Experience with Windows OS
HS Diploma or equivalent
One of the acceptable CWF code 451 certifications (such as Security+CE) AND CCNA certification.
Operating System (OS) certification is required
Secret or above (must be a US Citizen) security clearance to start.
Candidate will be required to obtain a Top Secret clearance in the future.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, and application-level connectivity and performance problems as assigned using the ticketing system.
Design highly available systems architectures using traffic management technology.
Deploy new devices per engineered plans as assigned.
Manage NAVAIR Security Boundaries – Maintain boundary security suites at NAVAIR core sites. Suites include Cisco switches and routers, F5 Big-IP load balancers.
Work with NCDOC, NAVAIR IA, and PMOs to investigate network security incidents.
Design, implement, and maintain DoD PK-Enablement Solutions for NAVAIR.
Support NMCI/Legacy network interoperability and cloud migration efforts.
Manage and administer F5 BigIP and Cisco network devices.
Interface closely with management team by providing necessary notifications, assisting with reports and data calls.
Perform monthly audit review of STIG standards and STIG updates of assigned devices.
Perform weekly review of ACAS vulnerabilities and participate in the remediation planning and execution.
Assist with maintaining team documentation including work instructions, SOPs, processes and desk guides.
Work cohesively with other teams in support of the Data Center.
Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation and off-hours maintenance windows.
Interact with peers, management, and senior engineers in a constantly evolving environment to ensure a positive customer experience and atmosphere in the workplace.
Follow defined and documented customer processes and policies.
Take the initiative to learn more advanced operations and technologies.
