About The Position

The Network Administrator Level-2 will manage the Network Monitoring solution by adding, changing or removing devices and alerts. The incumbent will also assist in responding to requests coming into the Network Helpdesk queue, in providing support for client VPN services and network device moves or changes and in reviewing network device monitoring logs for actionable items. This individual will be part of a small team who supports a complex enterprise network and that is responsible for the support, implementation and maintenance of network services. Requirements

  • Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.
  • Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
  • Mobility: The person in this position needs to occasionally move between work sites and inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Communicate: Frequently communicate with others.
  • PPE: Biohazard laboratory environment that requires use of personal protective equipment in accordance with CDC and OSHA regulations and company policies.
  • ARUP Policies and Procedures: To conduct self in compliance with all ARUP Policies and Procedures.
  • Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Fine Motor Control: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling.

Responsibilities

  • Manage network/server monitoring tools
  • Assist in managing the Network Helpdesk queue
  • Assist in providing support for LAN-2-LAN VPN services
  • Assist in coordinating IP related changed for device moves or refreshes
  • Assist in reviewing daily system alerts and schedule service or escalation if needed
  • Perform basic network hardware installations and management
  • Assists in basic network project implementations when needed
  • Other duties as assigned.
