Netsuite Functional Lead
About The Position
Nscale is seeking a NetSuite Functional Lead in New York to manage NetSuite configuration and design as the company's finance processes scale globally. This role serves as the NetSuite subject matter expert, collaborating with finance process owners and reporting to the Director, Finance Tech. The Lead will determine the best approach to meet Finance's needs through configuration, customization, or process changes, and will advise on alternative systems when appropriate. The position is crucial for enabling Finance to close and report in NetSuite, adopt new entities and modules, and maintain audit-ready documentation.
Requirements
- NetSuite experience, either in-house or in consulting, including end-to-end implementation delivery.
- Experience administering a NetSuite instance post-go-live, including close cycles and upgrades.
- Experience with intercompany, multi-currency, consolidation, and revenue recognition in NetSuite.
- Ability to act as a thought partner to Finance on system design and explain the accounting impact of various options.
- Experience managing competing requests from multiple finance teams.

Responsibilities
- Configure and design NetSuite, including its chart of accounts, subsidiaries, revenue recognition, and fixed assets.
- Own transaction flows from sales to cash collection, through financial close and reporting.
- Determine whether each requirement necessitates configuration, customization, or a process change.
- Collaborate with engineering on solution design for customizations.
- Gather requirements from Finance, own functional design, and lead the NetSuite aspects of new entity and module rollouts, including user training.
- Manage release cycles, including user acceptance testing, deployment, change control, and annual upgrades.
- Advise the Director, Finance Tech on NetSuite capabilities and suggest alternative systems when they are a better fit.
- Build and maintain saved searches, reports, dashboards, and SuiteAnalytics content.
- Manage roles, permissions, provisioning, and access reviews, and generate audit evidence.
