NetSuite Financials Consultant
About The Position
SS8 is seeking an experienced independent contractor to provide on-demand technical and functional support for its recently implemented NetSuite Financials ERP system. The engagement focuses on resolving outstanding implementation issues, refining system configurations and workflows, and identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting, and system efficiency. It is an as-needed, hourly engagement with an indefinite term and no guaranteed minimum hours. The role is remote and performed from home, as determined by business needs. Compensation is billed hourly, with an expected rate of $130–$170 per hour depending on skills and experience.
Requirements
- NetSuite certification and demonstrated hands-on experience with NetSuite Financial Management.
- At least 5 years of hands-on NetSuite Financials experience.
- Strong experience building customized financial reports, saved searches, and reporting dashboards.
- Proven experience troubleshooting custom invoicing and billing processes.
- Working knowledge of NetSuite revenue recognition functionality and related accounting processes.
- Ability to provide flexible, on-demand support as issues arise.

Responsibilities
- Build, customize, and troubleshoot financial reports, saved searches, and dashboards to meet accounting and management reporting requirements.
- Troubleshoot customized invoices, billing configurations, transaction forms, and invoicing workflows.
- Troubleshoot revenue recognition schedules, rules, configurations, and related accounting entries, and help resolve revenue recognition discrepancies.
- Provide guidance on general ledger transactions, journal entries, accounting periods, and month-end close issues.
- Diagnose NetSuite financial system issues, recommend solutions, and provide practical guidance on system functionality and best practices.
- Provide flexible, on-demand support as issues arise.
