Join an established team of 3 physicians and 4 Advanced Practitioners Level 3 NICU with an average daily census of 12 patients 2200 deliveries per year 275 NICU admissions per year 16-20 transports from surrounding communities per year Established practice serving the Sioux City area and surrounding communities Opportunity to practice neonatology in an established and well-known system Cohesive group of colleagues and supportive staff allowing for autonomy while building the practice according to your preferences Experienced staff, both clinical and non-clinical, who know the patients and the community Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination.

Requirements

• Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Certification
• Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Hold an unrestricted advanced practice provider license in the state of Iowa
• Hold a registered nursing license in the state of Iowa or a compact state
• Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioners field of practice
• Eligible to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• 24-hour shifts.
• Minimum commitment of 48 hours per quarter.
• Additional shifts available based on departmental needs.
• Daily rounding in conjunction with neonatologist
• Ground transport
• Delivery attendance
• No call requirement
• Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve
• Perform neonatal procedures, including: Intubation, Umbilical line placement, PICC line placement, Peripheral arterial line insertion, Lumbar punctures, Chest tube insertion, Thoracentesis
• Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care
• Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
• Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills
