About The Position
Lehigh Valley Health Network is hiring a Neonatologist to provide care across its neonatal intensive care units. The 40-bed, Level IV NICU at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Cedar Crest ranks in the top 10 percent for overall parent satisfaction. The network also provides neonatal care at a Level III NICU at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Pocono and a Level II NICU at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Muhlenberg. The role includes caring for critically ill term and preterm infants, including extremely low birth weight (ELBW) infants, and providing critical care during air and ground transports from outside hospitals to the Level IV NICU. Teaching opportunities are available. The position is onsite, with a day shift, and lists Lehigh Valley Hospital–Pocono as the primary location.
Requirements
- Must be board eligible or board certified.
- Fellowship trained.
- A current Pennsylvania medical license or the ability to obtain one is required.
Responsibilities
- Perform neonatal resuscitation and procedures on term, preterm, and ELBW infants.
- Assess, diagnose, and treat critically ill preterm and term infants.
- Provide critical care to infants during air and ground transport from outside hospitals to the Level IV NICU.
- Participate in teaching opportunities.
