About The Position
CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – San Marcos, in partnership with Pediatrix Medical Group, is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Neonatologist to join their growing practice in San Marcos, Texas. This role involves providing high-quality newborn care within a 6-bed Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at a Level II Maternal Care Facility, supporting approximately 750 deliveries per year. The position offers flexible scheduling with opportunities for moonlighting in other NICU levels within the Pediatrix network in Austin. San Marcos is strategically located between Austin and San Antonio, offering a blend of small-town charm and accessibility to major cities, along with a strong community, natural beauty, and recreational activities. The area also boasts good schools, diverse housing, and a favorable cost of living compared to Austin.
Requirements
- BC/BE Neonatology
Responsibilities
- Provide coverage in a Level II NICU
- Attend high-risk deliveries, C-sections, and newborn resuscitations
- Provide neonatal consultation services
- Access to CHRISTUS Children's Level IV NICU in San Antonio for advanced neonatal support and seamless transfers
- Flexible scheduling with the opportunity to moonlight in level II-IV NICUs with Pediatrix in Austin
