About The Position

Pediatrix® Medical Group is seeking an experienced, Board Certified Neonatologist for per diem coverage at Orlando Health South Lake Hospital in Clermont, FL. This is a per diem opportunity. The hospital is a brand new Level II NICU designed for growth and supported by an established regional network. The NICU is projected to have an average daily census of 5-6 by year-end, with a newborn nursery ADC of 6-7. There are approximately 2,000 annual deliveries. Support is available from Pediatrix’s flagship Level IV NICU at Winnie Palmer Hospital (142 beds). The role involves a collaborative care model with Neonatologists, Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs), and Pediatric Hospitalists. Responsibilities include 24 hours of rounding plus call from home/hotel with a 30-minute response time. NNP staffing provides 24-hour shifts for balanced coverage and continuity, with both full-time and part-time options available.

Requirements

• Board Certification in Neonatology with recent experience required
• Active IMLC or active Florida license required
