About The Position
We are seeking a Neonatologist for a Locum Tenens position in Lansing, MI. This inpatient role involves clinical duties and call coverage for a supplemental need. The coverage period is from July 1, 2026, to July 1, 2027. The Neonatologist will be responsible for managing a department with 47 beds, an average daily volume of 31 patients, and approximately 3 admissions. The facility is a Level I Trauma Center utilizing the Epic EMR system. Support staff including NNPs, nursing leadership, nursing staff, PT/OT, dieticians, and Child Life Specialists are available.
Requirements
- Active MI License
- Board Certified (BC)
- NALS certification
- Fellowship required
- NPDB Report
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical coverage and beeper call for the Neonatology department.
- Manage high-risk deliveries and C-sections.
- Perform ventilation management including BiPAP/CPAP, oscillator ventilation, and iNO.
- Place chest tubes, central lines, arterial lines, PA catheters, UVC, UAC, and PICC lines.
- Handle neonatal resuscitation and emergency management.
- Potentially supervise Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs).
- Complete Epic documentation.
